Here is my presentation, The Ethics of Eating, in PDF form. Using logic and love, as opposed to blood and gore, the basic morality common to all mankind is relied on to suggest that since animals are endowed with the ability to suffer just like us, we should not use them for our gastronomical pleasure- for no good reason. The history of the herding culture is also examined to suggest that so long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields. That the violence against against animals has been perfected in the last 10,000 years, and then transferred and practiced within the human race. The sanskrit work for war, translated, means the ‘desire for more cows.’ Veganism’s revolutionary promise is to overthrow this invisible ideology of Carnism, an indoctrination transferred at birth, and replace it with peace and harmony for our bodies, our society, and our planet’s ecology.
